At InMoat, our email experts and Boolean specialists can design custom email filters to fit your exact needs.
It's important to note that custom filters built by InMoat may not always be accurate initially. The process of building custom filters is a reiterative process.
In general, custom filters can take up to 1-3 business days to complete the first version. However, depending on the complexity of the filter requested and the number of requests in the qeue, please allow up to 5-7 business days. If more time is needed, we will notify you in advance.
Who can request a custom filter
Only active InMoat subscribers may request a custom filter. Active subscribers are users that have annual subscriptions through the Pay With Money plan, or have opted in to the Pay with Email plan.
Requesting a custom filter is not available for free trial users.
How many filters can you request
There's no limit! That said, you submit one request at at a time, and requests are on a first come first serve basis.
What kind of filters can you request
Our email experts can develop any type of filter for you as long as you have sufficient information to provide. However, InMoat does have the right to decline any filter request if the filter if inadequate data is provided, or if it is inappropriate.
Our advice: the best email filters are used to handle repetitive and tedious email management processes. For example, if you have a specific type of email that you often receive, and it requires your valuable time to identify it and then delegate it to someone else, or requires you to manually move it to a specific folder.
Filters can be as specific, or as broad as you like. However, the broader the filter, the higher the chance you may filter out a similar types of email.
How to submit a filter request
To submit a custom filter request, email firstname.lastname@example.org and include the following information:
- A brief description of the filter you're looking to create. Please be as specific as possible.
- How should it work? (eg. do you want it to go to a specific folder, or remain in your inbox?)
- Are there any exceptions as to when you would want the filter to not to work?
- Include any examples you can share as an attachment.
Once you submit the information, our email experts will get back to you within 24-48 hours. If necessary, we may ask to schedule a call to gather more information.
If necessary, one of our email experts will contact you to schedule a call for more information (we know -- another call in the day is a pain, but it's the quickest way for us to better understand your request/needs. It also minimizes any ambiguity for on our end!).
From the information gathered, we will conduct more research on our end and start building your filter. When complete, we will notify you directly via email, and post your filter directly to your dashboard.
If you have any questions about filter requests, please contact support at email@example.com.
