This guide will cover how to manage your InMoat account and subscription.
Follow the steps below to update your payment information.
Step 1. Go to 'Settings' in your InMoat dashboard, and click on 'Update Payment Info'
Step 2. For security purposes, you will be prompted to enter your email address. Enter your email address associated with the InMoat account.
Step 3. You will receive an email with a link to access your billing portal. Click the 'Log in' button within the email. Note: the link will only be active for 30 minutes.
Step 4. Once you're in the customer billing portal, you can add, edit, update your payment method and information.
If you wish to switch plans, please contact us at support@inmoat.com. We will manually switch your account plan.
Note: switching to paid subscription (Pay With Money plan) will not revoke email data that has already been shared with InMoat while you were actively opted in to the Pay With Email plan. Data shared during this time will only be held for 12 months. To learn more about how we collect data and what we use it for, read our Pay With Data plan memorandum.
We're sorry to hear that InMoat isn't a fit for you, but we appreciate you giving it a shot. As a small bootstrapped startup, our resources are limited but we're always looking to improve InMoat in order to truly help make email work for all. Note: cancelling your subscription will
Step 1. Go to Settings in your InMoat dashboard.
Step 2. Select 'Update Payment Info'. For security purposes, you will be prompted to enter your email address associated with your subscription.
Note: InMoat partners with Stripe for billing.
Step 3. After entering your email address, you will receive an email from InMoat (via Stripe) that includes a link to manage your subscription and payment info. Click the "Log In" link in the email.
Step 4. Click on the 3 dot menu in the Payment Method section, and select "Delete". This will officially cancel your InMoat subscription, and also completely remove your payment and billing information.
*Note: cancelling your subscription will terminate your services immediately.
Once you've cancelled your subscription, you can delete your InMoat account. Follow the steps below to learn how to delete your InMoat account.
*Note: if you have a Premium paid subscription, make sure to cancel your monthly or annual subscription first prior to deleting your InMoat account. To cancel your subscription, follow the steps above for "Cancelling your subscription".
Step 1. Go to the 'Settings' tab on the left-hand side of your InMoat dashboard, and then select 'Delete Account' to permanently delete your InMoat account.
Step 2. Confirm that you want to permanently delete your account by selecting 'OK'.
Although we're sad to see you leave, we promised we'd always be transparent with you and how we treat your data. In order to completely disconnect InMoat from your email provider, make sure to revoke InMoat from your app permissions. (In fact, you can review and revoke other apps that may still have access to your email account).
For G-Suite/Gmail users: to review & revoke your app permissions, go to My Google Apps Permissions.
For M365/Outlook users: to review & revoke your app permissions, go to My Microsoft Apps Permissions.
You've now officially deleted your InMoat account and revoked your app permissions to InMoat, however, your @InMoat folder within your mailbox will remain. You can keep, delete, edit, rename or move this folder elsewhere directly within your inbox.
If you decide to delete the @InMoat folder, we advise you to review all the emails in it prior to deletion, in case there are any emails you may want to save. Or make sure to move the emails to another folder for future records.
